Springbank 10 Year Old 46% – 70cl
Distilled 2.5 times using the three stills at the celebrated distillery established in 1828. This bottling is now seen as one of the most iconic single malts of Scotland, if not the world, with demand well outstripping supply.Â
Nose: Lots of sweet honey and ginger notes, some soft iodine and ripe pears, some apricots and a subtle sweet smoke in the background, salted caramel and toffee, a dash of coconut with a soft sweet oak.Â
Palate: Bold and smooth at the same time, overripe banana with hints of spiced apple, the toffee and vanilla from the nose flows across the mid palate, some soft peat and smoke push through but never overwhelming or for too long, some hints of saltwater taffy, toasted oak and sweet fruit cake.Â
