A wonderfully exciting Aberlour. The Speyside distillery’s core range almost always makes use of sherry casks – conversely, this independently bottled expression has spent its life in a first-fill Bourbon barrel! Unusual indeed. We’re glad the Càrn Mòr team snapped it up to share with us – it’s a fascinating exploration into Aberlour’s distillery character. 

Tasting note:

Nose: Grassy, fresh and citrus-led, with gentle cinnamon spices and vanilla pods in with an inviting barley quality. 

Palate: Citrus comes to the fore, alongside glossy green apple, tasty pear, and a surprising waxy element. 

Finish: Medium length, drying into aromatic hay.
